Avalanche Challenge Piece

Here's my entry for the last challenge over at the Avalanche Blog . It was a pretty eye-opening experiment. Thanks to Ryan Wood and Sam Neilson for some great pointers that I probably forgot to implement by mistake.

I really liked the old version actually. call me crazy, but the subdued feeling and attention centered on the face was a lot more appealling. I would like to see them side by side, maybe you could post them both.
Still a good painting though.

Really cool! Must be a joy to work at a company that seems to really have it together!

I love your landscape paintings... The four trees of winter (December) is awesome.
I like listening to Trans-Siberian Orchestra's "Wizards in Winter" while I draw.
